NBI nabs suspected QC City Hall ‘fixer’

The National Bureau of Investigation arrested an employee of the Quezon City Hall allegedly caught in the act accepting marked money for falsified public documents, a report on GMA's “24 Oras” said Wednesday.

The report identified the suspect as 30-year-old Adrianne Patrick Obaldo, an office aide of the public employment service office of the QC City Hall.

“His mother is the chief of the administrative division of Quezon City. Malakas ang loob niya doon kasi doon palagi ang transaction,” NBI-NCR Regional Director Max Salvador said.

According to the NBI-NCR, the suspect allegedly provided falsified documents like license to own and permits to carry firearms for P25,000.

“Pag sila naman ang nahuli using this and possessing this, they will be charged for falsification of public documents under the Manansala doctrine,” Salvador said.

The NBI will be filing estafa and falsification of public documents charges against the suspect. — Andrei Medina/BM, GMA News
