QC court issues arrest warrant against Dalia Pastor

(Updated 8:11 a.m.) Quezon City Regional Trial Court-Branch 91 Judge Lita S. Tolentino-Genilo on Monday issued a warrant of arrest for Dalia Pastor over the killing of her husband, race car driver Enzo Pastor.

According to the warrant, Dalia Pastor has been charged with parricide.

Enzo Pastor was shot to death at the corner of Visayas Avenue and Congressional Extension Avenue on June 13, 2014.

On February 26 of this year, the Department of Justice had recommended criminal charges against businessman Sandy de Guzman and Dalia Pastor.

Assistant State Prosecutor Susan Villanueva had said that while there was no direct evidence pointing to Dalia and De Guzman as direct participants, there was still "interlocking circumstantial evidence that would point to their connivance in the commission of the crime."

Enzo's father Tomas Pastor told GMA News last year that Dalia and De Guzman, the alleged mastermind in the killing, have been in a relationship for the past two years and are already engaged to be married.

De Guzman has denied being behind the killing.

Dalia, in an affidavit earlier submitted to the National Bureau of Investigation, has denied being involved with De Guzman.

At least two witnesses, gunmen PO2 Edgar Angel and Alvin Nidua have identified De Guzman as the mastermind in the crime. — DVM/KG, GMA News
