Flower prices may go up next week as Undas nears


Prices of flowers may go up next week as Undas (All Saints' and All Souls' Days) draws closer, flower vendors in Metro Manila have indicated.
 
A report on dzBB radio early Tuesday quoted vendors in the Dangwa district in Manila as saying the prices of flowers could go up by P30 to P50 per dozen.

 
For this week, Malaysian mums sell at P130 to P140 per dozen while carnations sell for P120 per dozen.
 
Chrysanthemums sell for P150 a dozen while roses sell for P150 a dozen. However, roses' prices could go up to P250 per dozen as Undas nears.
 
Filipinos are expected to flock to cemeteries Nov. 1 and 2 to pay their respects to their dearly departed. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
