List of flooded places in Metro Manila on Oct. 1
(Updated 5:32 p.m.) Heavy rain brought floods to parts of Metro Manila Wednesday afternoon.
Some areas were no longer passable to vehicles as of 4:50 p.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Metrobase's Vincent Lizada told dzBB radio.
Among the areas that were not passable were:
- EDSA corner Santolan northbound, near Camp Aguinaldo Gate 3, waist-high
- tire-deep at EDSA Megamall northbound, not passable to all types of vehicles
- tire-deep as of 4:38 p.m. at C5 Ortigas Avenue SB/NB at (Tiendisitas Eagle St.), not passable to all types of vehicles
- waist-deep at Ramon Magsaysay Blvd Pureza eastbound, not passable to all types of vehicles as of 4:55 p.m.
- knee-deep at C5 Lanuza as of 4:56 p.m., not passable to vehicles
In Quezon City, the rain was accompanied by strong winds and lightning, radio dzBB reported.
Floods were gutter-deep at the corner of EDSA and P. Tuazon northbound at the tunnel as of 4:18 p.m.
At EDSA corner Aurora Boulevard southbound, floods were gutter-deep as of 4:15 p.m.
Gutter-deep floods were also reported at EDSA Aurora Boulevard northbound.
In Manila, meanwhile, heavy rain also fell on the Sampaloc district in Manila, dzBB's James Agustin reported.
At the southern part of Metro Manila, Skyway management reported "ponding" of rain water at the Asia Pacific college northbound area. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
