Some Holy Week vacationers start returning to NCR

Some Holy Week vacationers started returning to Metro Manila, even as traffic along major expressways to and from Metro Manila remained light as of Saturday noon.

A bus company posted on its Twitter account Saturday afternoon a photo indicating its terminal in Baguio City is getting crowded as of 12:47 p.m.

The Toll Regulatory Board tweeted that as of 12:35 p.m., traffic was light along the Tarlac and Carmen toll plazas and the main line of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway.

At the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway, traffic was fast-moving on both directions as of 12:09 p.m.

At the South Luzon Expressway, the SLEX said traffic was light along the Alabang to Santo Tomas and Calamba toll plaza portions as of noon.

Traffic was light along the entire stretch of the Cavite Expressway as of noon.

Traffic along the expressways leading to Metro Manila is expected to grow heavy starting Easter Sunday as the bulk of vacationers return to Metro Manila from the provinces. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
