MMDA: Expect heavy traffic on España Blvd due to UST entrance test

Traffic along España Boulevard in Manila may be heavy Sunday due to the entrance examinations of the University of Santo Tomas.

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said traffic may be congested along the part of España, especially near the campus.

"ADVISORY: USTET will be held today (December 1, 2013) at UST España, Manila. Expect traffic congestion along España Blvd," it said early Sunday.

The UST similarly advised motorists to expect heavy traffic on the day of the USTET.

"Please take alternate route," it advised (http://ofad.ust.edu.ph/).

Traffic had been heavy in front of the UST area during all Sundays last October, when the Bar examinations were held there.

At the time, authorities eventually allowed vehicles bound for Manila to counter-flow along the northbound part of España Boulevard. — LBG, GMA News
