UST reschedules entrance test due to floods

The University of Santo Tomas announced on Wednesday that it was rescheduling its entrance test from August 25 to September 1. In an announcement posted on its social network site, UST said this is to "allow everyone time to recover" from the effects of monsoon rain and floods that swamped Luzon. Those with inquiries may call the UST OFAD starting Aug. 27. Since last weekend, heavy rain flooded Metro Manila and much of Luzon, leaving at least 15 dead as of Wednesday evening. However, the weather showed signs of improvement after Tropical Storm Maring, which enhanced the southwest monsoon, exited the Philippines. — DVM, GMA News
