UNA does Eat Bulaga's 'Cha-Cha' in Manila
It was a nighttime political rally, but it had all the elements of a Filipino noontime show. Candidates from the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) danced to the tune of "Cha-Cha Dabarkads"—popularized by the noontime show "Eat Bulaga"—during its sortie in Manila on Sunday night. Vice President Jejomar Binay and former President Joseph Estrada themselves led the candidates into performing the dance craze. Noontime show hosts Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Pauleen Luna also performed during the sortie. Dance groups EB Babes and the Sexbomb Girls were also present. The political rally was held to launch Estrada's mayoral bid in Manila. Estrada was a former actor. UNA bets also performed the dance hits "Gangnam Style" and "Harlem Shake" in earlier sorties. The coalition's rival, the Liberal Party, has criticized these performances. — Andreo Calonzo/BM, GMA News
