LRT deploys shorter route Monumento-Baclaran trains starting June 11

Starting Monday, June 11, the Light Rail Transit Authority will be deploying some trains running only between Baclaran in southern Metro Manila and Monumento in Caloocan City.

In an announcement posted on its website, the LRTA said the trains plying the shortened route will be deployed from 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays, except on holidays when more passengers are expected to ride the LRT-1.

"Ipinatupad ang sistemang ito mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes sa pagitan ng (6 to 10 a.m.) maliban kung pista opisyal, upang maserbisyuhan ang mga nakararaming pasahero," it said.

The LRTA said the setup will allow these trains to immediately head back to Baclaran, and serve stations with the most passengers.

On the other hand, it advised passengers heading for Balintawak and Roosevelt in Quezon City to wait for trains heading for those stations.

"Samantala, ang mga pasaherong patungong Balintawak at Roosevelt na nakasakay sa nabanggit na tren ay maaring maghintay na lamang sa susunod na tren patungo sa nasabing direksyon," it said.
