P5M destroyed in predawn fire in Marikina


At least P5 million in property was destroyed in a predawn fire that razed a two-story building in Marikina City on Monday.
 
No one was initially reported injured in the fire, which started shortly after midnight and reached the third alarm, radio dzBB's Rodil Vega reported.
 
The report said the building at Concepcion village housed stalls selling branded footwear.
 
Marikina fire marshal Chief Inspector Rodrigo Reyes was quoted in the report as saying the fire started at 12:19 a.m. and reached the third alarm at 12:37 a.m.
 
It was placed under control at 2:30 a.m., even as volunteer firefighter group TXTFire said the fire was put out shortly after 3 a.m. –KG, GMA News
