Manila road closed for 'Bourne Legacy' filming
A stretch of road in a residential area in Manila was closed to traffic before dawn Wednesday for the shooting of parts of the Hollywood film "Bourne Legacy."
Large vans brought filming equipment to the area at the corner of Quirino Avenue and Leveriza Street, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel secured the area and declined to talk to bystanders, including media.
A separate report on dwIZ radio quoted Philippine producer Lope "Jun" Juban Jr. as saying the filming will benefit several Filipinos, noting there are more than 300 crewmembers.
The dwIZ report also said some residents will be extras in the filming, which was expected to start at 7 a.m. and may take the entire day.
The MMDA said filming will take place in Manila from Jan. 11 to 13. View "The Bourne Legacy" Shoot Locations in the Philippines in a larger map
