Makati to close some roads on Dec. 29-Jan. 1 for New Year festivities
Some roads in Makati will be closed to motorists to make way for the city's New Year's Eve Countdown 2011.
Ayala Avenue from Paseo de Roxas to North Drive and from Fonda to Paseo de Roxas as well as Makati Avenue from Paseo de Roxas to Dela Rosa Street will be closed from December 29 to January 1.
In a traffic advisory, Makati Department of Public Safety (MAPSA) Director Hermenegildo C. San Miguel announced the following alternate routes for public utility vehicles:
Public Utility Buses (PUBs):
All passenger buses from north of EDSA:
- Right turn to Sen. Gil Puyat toward destination
All passenger buses coming from SLEX, Buendia, Pasay City:
- Take Gil Puyat Avenue left from EDSA to destination
Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs):
From J.P. Rizal:
- Right turn to Makati Avenue
- Right turn to Paseo de Roxas
- Right turn Ayala Avenue toward destination.
From Washington St.:
- Right turn Gil Puyat
- Right turn Ayala Avenue
- Right turn Salcedo
- Left turn Benavidez toward Esperanza
- Right turn Makati Avenue
- Right turn Arnaiz Avenue
- Right turn Paseo de Roxas
- Left turn Dela Rosa
- Right turn Salcedo
- Left turn Ayala Avenue toward destination
