Crops in Benguet hit by frost

As temperatures in Benguet dropped to their lowest since the start of the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan season, crops in Atok town were covered in frost, prompting farmers to take preemptive measures.
 
According to a report on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday, farmers have been spraying water on their crops to prevent damage caused by the frost.

Weather service PAGASA reported that temperatures in La Trinidad, Benguet dropped to 9.4 degrees Celsius, the lowest this Amihan season. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/DVM, GMA Integrated News
