Police raid illegal firing range, nab gun seller in Bulacan
Authorities raided an illegal indoor firing range inside a house following complaints from neighbors and arrested a gun seller in Bulacan.
According to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report in 24 Oras on Wednesday, the property is owned by a former security officer.
“Mayroon pong mga residente at mayroon pong mga taong nakapalibot sa area nila na nakakarinig ng mga putok. Doon nanggagaling sa bahay nila, so possibly mayroon talagang baril sa loob,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Milgrace Driz of the Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
(Nearby residents heard gunshots coming from the house so they suspected that there could be guns inside.)
“Dati po siyang security officer ng isang Chinese. Mayroon na din po siyang mga kaso from Laguna at mayroon din po siyang allegedly na mga kaso sa ibang lugar,” she added.
(He was a former security officer of a Chinese citizen. He was also charged in Laguna and allegedly has cases in other areas.)
Seized during the operation were a short firearm and rounds of ammunition.
In another police operation in Bulacan, another person was also arrested for the illegal sale of firearms online.
The suspect had just sold a micro submachine gun and .38 revolver to the female undercover police officer. Authorities nabbed the seller during a meetup after both parties agreed on a price.
GMA Integrated News reached out to the suspects in both cases for comments.
