2nd tranche of Region II wage hike now in effect —DOLE

The P15 second trance of wage increase in Region II or Cagayan Valley has become effective on April 1, 2024, Unang Balita reported on Tuesday, citing the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

For workers in the non-agriculture sector, their minimum daily wage is now P450, while those on the agriculture sector will be P430.

To recall, Cagayan Valley's wage board issued motu propio Wage Order No. RTWPB 2-22 on September 21, 2023, providing a P30 increase in the minimum wage in the region to be divided into two equal tranches.

The first tranche was given upon effectivity of the order. 

Region II’s wage board also issued Wage Order No. 02-DW-05 granting a monthly increase of P500 for the wage of kasambahays or domestic workers, bringing their monthly pay rate to P5,500. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
