President Marcos, First Lady Liza share relationship advice in pre-Valentine's Day vlog

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, on Sunday, shared advice on relationships and love ahead of Valentine’s Day.

In a vlog shared in various social media platforms on Sunday, The First Couple invited people “to ask them anything”. Marcos offered advice on how he is able to be a dedicated husband by spending quality time with the First Lady despite his busy role as President.

“Well, mahirap talaga ‘yung balanse dahil work takes up so much of our time. Well, hindi lang naman ako, pati si Liza marami talagang ginagawa... (Well, it’s really hard to balance because work takes up so much of our time. Well, it’s not just me, even Liza has so many things to do…) So, we try to find five minutes here, twenty minutes there, we eat together. Basta’t whatever the schedule allows, we take full advantage of it,” the President said.

The couple also shared that the President cooks at home and that they do date nights every Wednesday at a restaurant if their schedule allows it.

First Lady Liza shared details about her “Lab for All” project, which she said is the President’s favorite project of hers.

“Every Tuesday, we go to a different province and the mobile van is there, and all the different agencies like DOH and TESDA. But more importantly the private sector, they go there three days before and they give medical services which is part of their CSR (corporate social responsibility)," said the First Lady.

On the family side, the President shared that he appreciated how the first lady cared for him and their sons. On the other hand, the First Lady said her husband’s best quality was “his kindness and selfless love and dedication to the Philippines and the Filipino people.”

The couple said they keep their married life healthy with the quality time they spend together and moments of laughter during their short breaks. They said they make sure not to let stress consume them.

“Don’t let stress get you … Laugh whenever you can, be grateful for what you have, and we’re all blessed one way or another, just be grateful. You’ll never be perfect but just be grateful,” First Lady Liza advised.

“I suppose it's just direct communication. Don’t communicate through your phone. Talk to each other face-to-face. Don’t bother with social media when it comes to relationships. Talk to each other face-to-face, hold hands, go have dinner, walk down the beach, do something, but don’t do it digitally,” the President added.

The First Couple also reminisced about sharing their first kiss together in New York and how the current presidential term is the “most unforgettable adventure” they have taken together.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
