Stand for Truth's 'Runaway Child Brides' among finalists in US International Awards 2023

"Runaway Child Brides," a documentary produced by "Stand for Truth," was chosen as one of the finalists for this year's US International Awards in the Online & Social Media - Social Media Video category.

According to US International Awards, "118 entries will be awarded, of which 28 entries have been selected as finalists." The winners will be announced in June.

"Runaway Child Brides" tells the story of girls and even boys who decided to escape arranged marriages among the Manobo tribe in Bukidnon. Instead of finding security in the unions set by their family and community, the children ran to teachers who ensured they had an education to depend on.

Last month, "Runaway Child Brides" won a bronze medal at the prestigious New York Festivals TV and Film Awards. It is GMA's first digital documentary to win such an award.
