Marikina River alert level lowered back to 1 -Mayor Teodoro


The alert level at the Marikina River was lowered to the first alarm after the water level went down to above 15 meters Saturday afternoon, Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro said.

In a message, Teodoro said the water level at the Marikina River is at 15.8 meters as of 1:16 p.m.

The Marikina Public Information Office, meanwhile, reported that all eight gates are open at the Manggahan Floodway.

The second alarm was earlier raised after the water level reached 16 meters before Saturday dawn.

At 10 a.m., the water level at Marikina River inched up to 16.4 meters. -MDM, GMA News
