PVL introduces AVC international refs in All-Filipino semis

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is formally introducing the inclusion of AVC international referees who would oversee the games in bid to enforce parity and fairness in officiating.

The league has tapped referees Adams Wong from Hong Kong and the Philippines' very own Joy De Imus, who both officiated during the All-Filipino Conference semifinals between Akari and Choco Mucho.

Akari went on winning in five sets following a wild 5-0 closing run behind Faith Nisperos

Last year, PVL announced that it is seeking the help of the country's volleyball body, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), in its mission to maintain balance in the league.

The move came after the controversial semifinals game between Akari and PLDT, where the latter had to file a protest following a non-call late in the fifth set of the clash.
