FEU sweeps winless UE in UAAP women's volleyball

Far Eastern University swept the University of the East, 25-20, 25-20, 25-23, in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The Lady Tamaraws improved to 6-3 and claimed the provisional second spot, while the Lady Warriors remained winless in nine games.
Jaz Ellarina led the Morayta-based squad with 17 points from 12 attacks, three aces, and two blocks, while Chenie Tagaod and Gerz Petallo had 15 points each.
KC Cepada, meanwhile, led the Recto-based squad with 13 points.
In the men's division, FEU also defeated UE, 25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18.
