National University's Alyssa Solomon is still eligible to play in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament after she has withdrawn her application from the Korean Volleyball (KOVO) Federation Asian Quota Draft.
Solomon's name was previously in the list of KOVO Asian Quota Draft, along with the likes of pro players Mars Alba, Majoy Baron, and Maddie Madayag.
"The University Athletic Association of the Philippines Board of Managing Directors, after due deliberation, confirmed that National University student-athlete Alyssa Solomon remains eligible to compete in the UAAP," the league said in a statement on Tuesday.
"While the BMD noted that Solomon did apply and was included in the draft list of the 2025 Korean Volleyball Federation Asian Quota Draft, her subsequent action in immediately withdrawing her application allowed her to continue competing in the ongoing UAAP Season."
As a rule, the UAAP does not allow student-athletes to compete in professional leagues during an ongoing season.
The Asian Quota Draft will be held on April 11.
NU, meanwhile, completed a first round sweep and currently sits atop the standings with seven wins.
