Choco Mucho outlasts Nxled in five-setter for fifth straight win

Choco Mucho extended its winning streak to five in the PVL All-Filipino Conference after surviving a late scare from Nxled, 25-21. 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-10, Thursday at the Philsports Arena.

The Flying Titans went on a 4-0 run in the deciding set with May Luna-Lumahan scoring back-to-back before Deanna Wong put the Flying Titans at 13-7. EJ Laure scored back-to-back for the Chameleons before a Sisi Rondina attack handed the match point to the Flying Titans.

Nxled salvaged one more point after a successful net fault challenge on Choco Mucho, but Isa Molde sealed the victory for the Flying Titans.

Rondina led the Flying Titans with 23 points anchored on 21 attacks, while Molde had 12 points for the Flying Titans who improved to 7-3.

Laure led the Chameleons with 20 points, while Luna-Lumahan and Lucille Almonte chipped in 17 and 11 points, respectively as Nxled slipped to 1-9.
