PVL: Savi Davison shines as PLDT dominates Farm Fresh to climb to solo third

Savi Davison displayed her clutch attacks once more as she lifted PLDT to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-19 against Farm Fresh for their second straight victory in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
The Filipino-Canadian power hitter delivered the final blow, scoring five points of their last six as the High Speed Hitters cruised to 6-3 and grabbed the solo third spot while the Foxies absorbed their consecutive loss to go 4-5.
Farm Fresh threatened a comeback in the third frame after coming within two points off a Fiola Ceballos attack error, 17-19, before Davison unleashed a cross-court kill and the Foxies committed an error to five PLDT a 21-17 cushion.
Trisha Tubu, though, responded with back-to-back kills from the opposite side to again slice the deficit to two.
But Davison took matters into her own hands, dropping four straight attacks capped by a soft touch on the ball to power PLDT to its sixth win in nine outings.
Davison led the sweep victory with a scorching 26-point performance anchored on 23 attacks and three blocks to go with six receptions while Mika Reyes chipped in 10 markers.
Tubu starred for the slumping Farm Fresh with nine points while Caitlin Viray and Lorene Toring posted six and five markers each.
