ZUS Coffee notches second straight win at Chery Tiggo's expense

ZUS Coffee notched its second consecutive win at the expense of Chery Tiggo, 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, Thursday in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Philsports Arena.
It was a tight affair even in the deciding set as the Thunderbelles led 16-14. However, ZUS managed to pull away and led by five before Ara Galang stopped the dry spell for the Crossovers.
Service errors, however, marred Chery Tiggo's late attempt as they had three in the said sequence, including the error which put the Crossovers at match point. Jules Samonte and Jasmine Nabor salvaged two to keep Chery Tiggo at bay before ZUS Coffee called for time to regroup, with veteran Jov Gonzaga sealing the win for the Thunderbelles.
Gonzaga had 20 points anchored on 17 attacks, while Chai Troncoso had 18 points. Cloanne Mondoñedo, meanwhile, had 17 excellent sets on top of three points as ZUS Coffee improved to 4-4. The win also came after the Thunderbelles defeated Capital1 last Saturday.
Ara Galang, meanwhile, had 20 points in the Chery Tiggo loss as the Crossovers slipped to 5-4.
