Ces Molina, Riri Meneses part ways with Cignal, says talent agency

Ces Molina and Riri Meneses have parted ways with the Cignal HD Spikers, according to their talent management agency.

Avior Talent Management announced the development on Thursday.

"Avior Talent Management expresses its most sincere gratitude towards Cignal HD Spikers Management for all the opportunities it had given to Frances Xinia Molina and Marivic Meneses, two Avior talents, over the past three years as they have decided to part ways with the team," the agency said in a social media post.

"We wish nothing but the best for the team."

Cignal, in a statement on Thursday night, said "We are currently consulting our legal team to determine all possible courses of action regarding this material breach of both players' contracts."

The HD Spikers said the players' agency reached out to the team on January 6, requesting to end Molina and Meneses' live contracts "in order to pursue unspecified opportunities abroad."

Cignal also said its management initiated discussions for contract renewal as early as October 2024, but "both players have not responded to any communications and have ceased attending training since its resumption earlier this week."

GMA News Online has reached out to Molina, Meneses, and their talent agency for their reaction on Cignal's statement.

Molina and Meneses joined the HD Spikers in 2022.

Cignal currently has four wins and one loss in the ongoing PVL All-Filipino Conference. They will return to action on January 21 when they face the Galeries Tower High Risers.
