Risa Sato pens farewell note to Creamline

Risa Sato turned grateful as she remembered her journey with her former team Creamline.

Sato parted ways with the Cool Smashers earlier this month.

"It’s hard to believe that my time with this incredible team has come to an end. Seven years ago, I joined not just a group of players but a family, and now, as I prepare to move on, I am filled with gratitude for everything this journey has given me," Sato wrote on her post last Wednesday.

Sato said she was challenged to grow as a person and as a player in Creamline and along the way, in challenges and victories, she has learned a lot with the squad.

"Each one of you has had an impact on me, whether through your encouragement, your example or simply your friendship. The lessons I’ve learned from being part of this organization will stay with me for the rest of my life."

Aside from her teammates, she also thanked those in the team management and the fans who supported the Cool Smashers during her stint with the team.

"Leaving isn’t easy, but I take comfort in knowing that the bond we’ve built over these years goes far beyond the court. Maraming salamat Creamline Community!!! Sa fans na walang sawang sumuporta, the best kayo!"

The middle blocker joined the squad in 2018 and has won multiple titles with the Cool Smashers.
