PNVF's Ramon Suzara named as FIVB executive vice president

Philippine National Volleyball Federation president Ramon Suzara was named as an executive vice president of international volleyball body FIVB.

FIVB announced the development on Wednesday (Philippine time).

“It’s a great distinction and honor to be named as executive vice president of the FIVB because it will give Philippine volleyball great opportunities ahead,” Suzara said in a statement.

“Not only will our national teams benefit, but the entire Philippine volleyball,” Suzara said.

“We are very thankful to the FIVB, former president Dr. Ary Graça, and new president Fabio Azevedo for trusting me as new FIVB executive vice president.”

Suzara's new post was also announced ahead of the country's hosting of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Championship in 2025.

Brazil's Azevedo was elected as the the new president in FIVB's 39th General Assembly and Elections last week in Porto, Portugal.

Suzara, meanwhile, was also recently elected as president of the Asian Volleyball Confederation.
