Farm Fresh bolsters roster with addition of Alohi Robins-Hardy, Jheck Dionela
Farm Fresh has shored up its roster ahead of the new PVL season by tapping the services of Alohi Robins-Hardy and Jheck Dionela as the Foxies continue their serious bid to win the title.
Robins-Hardy is making her Philippine return and her first-ever stint in the PVL after previously playing for Cignal in the defunct Philippine Superliga.
The veteran setter was also part of the national team that saw action in the 2019 ASEAN Grand Prix, where she helped steer the Filipinas to a bronze medal.
Since then, the Filipino-American playmaker has seen action overseas by joining Serbian club Zok Spartak Subotica.
"We're adding height. We're adding might. Join us in welcoming, a playmaker we missed playing in the local scene, Alohi Robins-Hardy," Farm Fresh said in a Facebook post on Tuesday night.
"Her hiatus is over."
Meanwhile, Dionela is a decorated libero who had also suited up for Cignal for 11 years which saw her rise as a vital defensive weapon for the HD Spikers.
The seasoned libero had won multiple medals with Cignal, including a silver and bronze medals in the Invitational and Reinforced Conferences in the previous season.
The entry of Robins-Hardy and Dionela strengthens Farm Fresh's already-promising lineup that features Jolina Dela Cruz, Janel Delerio, Louie Romero, Kate Santiago, and Trisha Tubu.
