PVL postpones Creamline-Akari finals due to Enteng

Premier Volleyball League playoffs at the MOA Arena

The PVL has decided to postpone the Reinforced Conference finals match between Creamline and Akari originally scheduled today, September 2, due to the Tropical Storm Enteng.

The league announced that the championship match will now be played on September 4 at the PhilSports Arena.

“Due to inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Enteng, all Premier Volleyball League games scheduled for Monday, September 2, have been postponed and will be moved to September 4," the PVL stated.

Prior to the winner-take-all finals, the league was involved in a controversy following the semifinals clash between Akari and PLDT. The High Speed Hitters called for a video challenge during a crucial juncture in the fifth set, but were denied as the Chargers eventually bagged the victory.

PLDT tried to protest before the PVL Board, but was given the thumbs down.

Akari, which is protecting an unbeaten 10-0 slate, is looking to claim its first-ever franchise title against a Creamline side eyeing to achieve a record-extending 9th overall title.

Meanwhile, the battle for bronze between PLDT and Cignal has also been moved to September 4.
