PVL: Tushova explodes for record 45 points to tow Capital1 past Choco Mucho

Reinforcement Marina Tushova posted a record-45 points to tow Capital1 past Choco Mucho, 13-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-20, 15-13, in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference on Thursday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Tushova's performance is anchored on 43 attacks as the Solar Spikers improved to 2-2 in Pool B. She was also the only player from Capital1 to score in double digits.

The 45-point explosion exceeded Prisilla Rivera’s 44-point performance for Akari in November 22.

Zoi Faki, on the other hand, had 28 points for the Flying Titans, while Dindin Manabat led the locals with 16 points as they slipped to 1-3.

In other games, the Akari Chargers (3-0) swept the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles (0-3), 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

The Cignal HD Spikers, on the other hand, remained on top of Pool B as they won in straight sets against Petro Gazz, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.

Cignal extended its winning streak to four, while Petro Gazz fell to 1-3.
