Cignal brings in former F2 import MJ Perez for PVL Reinforced Conference

Cignal is spicing up its 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference by bringing in a familiar face in MJ Perez.

The 36-year-old Venezuelan outside spiker parades a rich resume that includes a stint with the defunct F2 Logistics in the Philippine Superliga (PSL), leading the Cargo Movers to a title in the Grand Prix in 2017.

Perez is also a national team mainstay for Venezuela, representing the country in various major international tournaments like the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where her team finished at 11th place.

She also had a stint with Alexandria Sporting Club VC in Egypt, as well as in Puerto Rico, Finland, Cyprus, France, Indonesia, Italy, and Vietnam.

At Cignal, the 6-foot-2 veteran will reinforce the HD Spikers led by Vanie Gandler, Dawn Macandili-Catindig, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Ria Meneses, Ces Molina, and Roselyn Doria. 

In the 2022 edition, Cignal managed to reach the podium with import Tai Bierria as they settled for the silver medal.
