PVL: Dindin Santiago-Manabat heads to Choco Mucho
In probably the biggest move of the offseason, Dindin Santiago-Manabat will see herself bringing her act to Choco Mucho after securing her release from Akari ahead of the PVL Reinforced Conference in July.
The Flying Titans announced the major development on Monday as they look to bounce back from yet another bridesmaid finish in the previous All-Filipino Conference, where they fell to rival and sister team Creamline.
Santiago-Manabat will bolster an already-stacked roster with Maddie Madayag, Isa Molde, Honey Royse Tubino, Sisi Rondina, and Deanna Wong leading the core of the Dante Alinsunurin-mentored club.
The 30-year-old 6-foot-2 spiker was coming off an 18-month stay at Akari, where she led a youthful squad bannered by Faith Nisperos, Erika Raagas, Fifi Sharma, and Trisha Genesis. The farthest the Chargers have reached was back-to-back seventh place finishes in the last two All-Filipino offerings.
In the last conference, the former National University standout posted 112 points anchored on 98 attacks, nine blocks, and five aces.
