NU reclaims UAAP women's volleyball title
The National University Lady Bulldogs are once again queens of UAAP volleyball.
The Jhocson-based squad reclaimed the crown after defeating University of Santo Tomas in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball finals, 25-23, 23-25, 27-25, 25-16, on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Alyssa Solomon, who was named Finals MVP, paced the Lady Bulldogs with 27 points anchored on 20 attacks, four blocks, and three aces, while Season 86 Most Valuable Player Bella Belen had 19 points.
Xyza Gula once again surprised the other side of the fence as she paced the Golden Tigresses with 18 points, while Jonna Perdido had 14 points. Angge Poyos, who played again after sustaining an injury in Game 1, had one point.
NU last won the title in Season 84 back in 2022.
Earlier, their men’s counterparts also won the title and completed the four-peat.
