Brooke Van Sickle wins PVL All-Filipino MVP plum


Petro Gazz star Brooke Van Sickle was named as the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Most Valuable Player of the 2024 All-Filipino Conference on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Van Sickle was part of the top 10 of all departments and led the league in total points scored with 293 points on 242 attacks, 29 blocks, and 22 aces.

The Filipino-American outside hitter, in her first stint in the league, also led Petro Gazz to a bronze medal finish in the conference.

Joining Van Sickle in the Premier Team are Kyle Negrito (Creamline) as Best Setter, Sisi Rondina (Choco Mucho) and Jema Galanza (Creamline) as Best  Outside Spikers, Pangs Panaga (Creamline) and Maddie Madayag (Choco Mucho) as Best Middle Blockers, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas (Petro Gazz) as Best Opposite Spiker, and Thang Ponce (Choco Mucho) as Best Libero.

Jema Galanza, meanwhile, was named as the Finals MVP as Creamline took home its eighth overall title.
