Ced Domingo, Nakhon Ratchasima rule Volleyball Thailand League

Ced Domingo joined an elite list of Filipino imports who have won a title abroad after her Nakhon Ratchasima Cat Devils team swept Diamond Food, 25-18, 25-17, 25-18, to reign supreme in the Volleyball Thailand League (VTL) on Sunday night.

The 5-foot-9 middle blocker became the latest Pinoy reinforcement to win an overseas championship after Jaja Santiago and Bryan Bagunas led Ageo Medics and Win Streak to gold medals in Taiwan's Top League and Japan's V Cup, respectively.

Domingo, who got the starting nod, was also pivotal in Nakhon Ratchasima winning the second of back-to-back championships as the club also ruled the 2022-2023 edition against the same foe.

The 24-year-old Domingo achieved the feat ahead of her looming stint with her new mother club Akari.

She will open a new chapter in her career after ending a five-year stint with the Creamline Cool Smashers, where she captured multiple titles and individual awards.
