Akari's Justine Jazareno to take leave of absence from PVL due to pregnancy

Justine Jazareno of the Akari Chargers will be taking a leave of absence from the Premier Volleyball League due to her pregnancy.

Her management VP Global made the announcement on Thursday.

"We're excited that our volleyball star, Ms. Justine Jazareno, is eagerly anticipating the joys of motherhood. She has made the decision to take a leave of absence from the game to focus on her forthcoming bundle of joy," VP Global wrote in a statement.

Jazareno's management also thanked the Chargers for their support in her journey.

"As we eagerly await Justine's triumphant return to the Akari Chargers, let us send her and her longtime partner Jhonas our warmest wishes as they embark on this new and exciting chapter of their lives," the management added.

Akari still has the likes of Bang Pineda and Max Juangco on the defensive end in lieu of Jazareno's absence.

The PVL is expected to open its newest season this February.
