Mosuela will temporarily call the shots following the exit of Brazilian tactician Jorge Souza de Brito, who was at the helm during the team's inaugural campaign in 2022 until his resignation in December 2023.
“Big challenge para sa’kin and sa coaching staff, pero medyo nakakapag-adjust naman na kami for this coming conference,” Mosuela said.
[It's a big challenge for me and the coaching staff, but we've been able to adjust for this coming conference.]
The 42-year-old Mosuela, who also serves as the head coach of University of the East Junior Warriors, will also work closely with Japanese mentor Taka Minowa, who was recently tapped as the head of operations of both Akari and Nxled.
Bannered by Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Fifi Sharma, and Faith Nisperos, the Chargers finished at seventh spot during the 2023 2nd All-Filipino Conference. This year, Akari will also welcome two big names in Grethcel Soltones and Ced Domingo.
