PVL: Choco Mucho parts ways with Denden Lazaro-Revilla, Bea De Leon
Choco Mucho will open a fresh campaign in 2024 sans some of its key cogs in Denden Lazaro-Revilla and Bea De Leon after the Flying Titans parted ways with the two players ahead of the new season of PVL next month.
Both Lazaro-Revilla and De Leon were valuable assets for Choco Mucho in the past years until their breakthrough first runner-up finish in the previous 2nd All-Filipino Conference last year where they reached the finals for the first time in the franchise's history before bowing to eventual champion Creamline.
"Once a titan, always a Titan. Thank you, Denden, for your exceptional contributions as a seasoned libero with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans," Choco Mucho wrote in its farewell note for the veteran libero.
"Your professionalism and maturity have positively impacted the team. Best wishes in your new opportunity."
Choco Mucho also expressed its gratitude to De Leon, who served as the team captain for the past seasons and brought in veteran presence in leading the squad regardless of their standing.
"Thank you, Bea, for your dedication to the Choco Mucho Flying Titans since your debut with the team in the pro league. Your leadership as Team Captain and support have played a significant role in the team's current success."
Lazaro-Revilla and De Leon were already around at the time Choco Mucho was still building its reputation in the league, finishing seventh place five times before they transformed into a contender last year.
During the 2nd All-Filipino Conference, the Flying Titans almost finished the preliminary round unscathed with a 10-2 win-loss record. They then bucked a Game 1 loss to Cignal in the semifinals before winning the next two games to clinch the finals berth.
