PVL: Kim Fajardo joins PLDT; Creamline releases Ced Domingo
Multi-titled setter Kim Fajardo has linked up with another veteran playmaker in Rhea Dimaculangan as she joined PLDT in the busy offseason for the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
The High Speed Hitters welcomed Fajardo on Friday as the latter is tipped to open a new chapter in her career following a seven-year stint with F2 Logistics, which previously announced its disbandment.
"I want to be challenged in the new system. I want to keep learning," Fajardo said.
The past few years have been challenging for Fajardo, who has suffered numerous injuries.
The 30-year-old playmaker had been with the Cargo Movers since 2016, steering the club to numerous achievements in the semi-pro ranks before being challenged in the professional scene.
Fajardo, a product of the De La Salle University program, is looking forward to bagging her first-ever pro title.
She will join another respected setter in Dimaculangan and will reunite with former college teammate Mika Reyes as they look to improve their fifth place finish last conference.
“I want to bring back my previous condition. It's very achievable as long as I have the proper mindset and the guidance of my new coaches and teammates. It's just exciting to think that everything is new," she added.
Meanwhile, Ced Domingo has been released by Creamline, ending a four-year stint with the Cool Smashers that saw the squad cop multiple championships with the prized middle blocker winning a pair of individual awards.
