Cignal completes series sweep vs Chery Tiggo to claim PVL All-Filipino bronze

The Cignal HD Spikers squeaked past the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, 18-25, 25-21, 25-22, 26-24, to complete a series sweep and claim the bronze medal in the 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

After being tied at 24 in the fourth set, Vanie Gandler handed the match point to her Cignal squad. A foot fault challenge was called for the deciding point, but it was unsuccesful, giving the HD Spikers the bronze medal.

Gandler posted 22 points, while Ces Molina and Jovelyn Gonzaga had 14 and 12 points, rspectively for Cignal.

Eya Laure had 17 points, while Mylene Paat had 16 points for the Crossovers.

In Game 1 of the bronze medal match, Cignal won, 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, 25-20.
