PVL: Choco Mucho, Creamline book semis slots

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the Creamline Cool Smashers booked their respective slots in the semifinals of the 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference on Thursday.

Choco Mucho survived the PLDT High Speed Hitters in a five-setter, 25-20, 23-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Sisi Rondina had 20 points, while Maddie Madayag had 18 points as the Flying Titans improved to 8-1. PLDT, meanwhile, went down to 5-4.

Prior to this, the Creamline Cool Smashers (8-0) swept the Nxled Chameleons (3-6), 25-23, 25-16, 25-21.

Jema Galanza had 14 points while Tots Carlos and Michele Gumabao had 12 points apiece.

With both teams having eight wins, Choco Mucho and Creamline were assured of slots in the post-season.

Earlier, the Akari Chargers (5-4) swept the Galerie Tower High Risers (0-8), 25-14, 25-21, 25-19.

PVL action will return on Saturday with Cignal HD playing Nxled at 2 p.m., Petro Gazz facing Akari at 4 p.m., and Chery Tiggo going against F2 at 6 p.m.
