PVL: Creamline sweeps PLDT to remain perfect; Akari keeps Gerflor winless

The Creamline Cool Smashers swept the PLDT High Speed Hitters, 25-23, 25-21, 25-19, to keep its record perfect in the 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference in Cagayan de Oro City.

Alyssa Valdez had 13 points for the Smashers, while Jema Galanza and Michele Gumabao had 12 and 10 points, respectively. Creamline inched closer to a semifinals slot as it remained undefeated in seven games.

Savannah Davison had 14 points, while Erika Santos had 11 points as PLDT went down to 5-3.

The Akari Chargers, meanwhile, swept the Gerflor Defenders, 25-18, 25-15, 25-19.

Faith Nisperos and Eli Soyud had 11 points apiece as Akari went up to 4-41. 

PVL action will be back on Tuesday when the Petro Gazz Angels face the Farm Fresh Foxies, while the Cignal HD Spikers play the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. The battle between the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans will banner the triple-header at 6 p.m.
