PVL: Ranya Musa out for the season with ACL tear diagnosis

Ranya Musa of the Petro Gazz Angels will sit out the remainder of the 2023 PVL season as she was diagnosed with an ACL tear.

The development was announced by the team on Friday.

"We regret to inform the public that after an MRI scan and consultation with doctors, it was confirmed that our middle blocker, Ranya Musa, sustained a complete anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear on her right knee during our November 11 game against the Cignal HD Spikers," the team said in a statement.

Cignal defeated Petro Gazz, 25-15, 25-23, 18-25, 25-19, in the said game.

The team also said it will support Musa as she receives medical attention for her injury.

The Angels currently have a 6-2 win-loss card in the 2nd All-Filipino Conference and will next face the Farm Fresh Foxies on Tuesday.
