Cherry Tiggo hands Petro Gazz first loss

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers handed the Petro Gazz Angels their first loss in the 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference after a four-set win, 25-15, 27-25, 18-25, 25-23, on Saturday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Eya Laure paced the Crossovers with 21 points anchored on 15 attacks, four aces, and two blocks, while Shaya Adorador had 14 points.

Both teams are now tied at 4-1.

Meanwhile, the PLDT High Speed Hitters swept the Gerflor Defenders, 25-8, 25-9, 25-17.

Rachel Austero and Jules Samonte led PLDT with 10 points apiece as they also went up to 4-1. Gerflor, meanwhile, remained winless in five games.

Earlier, the Cignal HD Spikers (2-2) won over the Farm Fresh Foxies (0-6), 25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17. 

PVL action will be back on Tuesday in the same venue when Choco Mucho takes on Nxled, F2 goes against Farm Fresh, and Cignal faces Galeries.
