Des Cheng suffers knee ACL tear
Volleyball player Des Cheng has been diagnosed with a knee injury which will require her to undergo surgery and rehabilitation, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans announced on Saturday.
In a statement, the team said Cheng had the injury during Choco Mucho's match against the Cignal HD Spikers last October 26 where she finished with four points in the straight sets victory.
"After careful review of her MRI results, our doctors have diagnosed that it is an ACL tear that will require surgery and rehabilitation," the team said in a statement.
"Management will ensure that Des is given the best possible treatment and medical care in order to get her back in fighting form."

The team also said it is saddened by the development but is hopeful for Cheng's eventual return.
Back in her collegiate stint with De La Salle University, Cheng also suffered an ACL tear in her left knee.
The Flying Titans currently have two wins and a loss in the ongoing 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference.
