Ced Domingo signs with Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand

Ced Domingo is now bound for Thailand.

After parting ways with her mother team Creamline in the PVL, Domingo has decided to sign with Nakhon Ratchasima VC in Thailand, her agency, Virtual Playground, announced on Monday.

"Thailand has always been one of the famous volleyball countries and to be part of Nakhon Ratchasima, I know I'll grow more and be able to give back to Philippine volleyball," Domingo said in a statement.

"I pray that more and more dreams turn into reality as we elevate Philippine volleyball."

Domingo became the second Creamline player to play overseas this year after setter Jia Morado, who is now in Japan as she plays as import for Denso Airybees in V. League Division 1.

The 24-year-old Domingo is a multi-titled volleyball player in the country, helping the Cool Smashers achieve four titles since joining the team in 2019. Recently, she was also named 2nd Best Middle Blocker in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference.

"As I take on greater heights, I will always remember the stepping stones that Philippine Volleyball, most especially Creamline and Rebisco, have allowed me to step on," she added.

"Dreams would have just been dreams if it weren’t because of them. Looking at my ates who have set the standard [Ate Ly, Jaja, Jia, Dindin, Mylene, MJ and Iris], nakakaproud that I also got presented with this honor and opportunity to be the 8th women’s volleyball import from the Philippines."
