Ivy Lacsina, Majoy Baron link up as F2 Logistics books PVL semis ticket


Ivy Lacsina and Majoy Baron connived to steer F2 Logistics to a 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 victory against Foton to advance to the semifinals of the 2023 PVL invitational Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.

Lacsina top-scored for the Cargo Movers with 16 points anchored on 11 attacks, three service aces, and two blocks as F2 finished the elimination with a 4-1 win-loss card.

Baron, meanwhile, chipped in with 12 points built on nine attacks, two aces, and one block. Aby Maraño and Kianna Dy poured in nine and eight markers apiece.

In the opening game, Akari copped its breakthrough victory after surviving Gerflor, 25-20, 22-25, 27-25, 25-27, 15-12 to end its three-game losing skid.

The Chargers were led by the rookie-veteran duo of Faith Nisperos and Dindin Santiago-Manabat with the former finishing with 18 points alongside 14 digs and six receptions while the latter churned out 17 markers.

F2 joined defending champion Creamline as the early semis contenders with the other two cast to be determined later today. The local semifinalists will be joined by the two foreign guest teams from Japan and Vietnam, the Kurashiki Ablaze and Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh.
