Japan, Vietnam guest teams to join PVL Invitational semis

Guest teams from Japan and Vietnam are set to spice up things for the ongoing 2023 PVL Invitational Conference as Kurashiki Ablaze and Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh will join the tournament in the semifinals round.

All 11 local teams have already been divided into two groups with Creamline, Chery Tiggo, PLDT, Akari, and Gerflor bunched in Pool A while composing Pool B are F2 Logistics, Choco Mucho, Petro Gazz, Cignal, Foton, and Farm Fresh.

The top two teams from each pool will advance to the round robin semifinals together with the two foreign teams. The top two teams will then move on to the knockout finals round while the third and fourth teams will slug it out for the bronze.

Currently, Creamline leads Pool A with a 2-0 card while F2 and Choco Mucho are atop Pool B with similar 2-0 cards.

This isn't the first time that PVL has invited foreign clubs to join as a guest team as it previously included Taiwan's KingWhale Taipei to compete in the 2022 edition.
