Faith Nisperos, Akari core to banner PH in AVC Challenge Cup

Faith Nisperos and the core of the Akari Chargers have been tasked to lead the Philippines in the upcoming Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup slated from June 18 to 25 in Indonesia.

Joining Nisperos are her teammates Bang Pineda, Michelle Cobb, Ezra Madrigal, Erika Raagas, and Eli Soyud while Petro Gazz veterans Aiza Maizo-Pontillas and Djanel Cheng were also called up.

Completing the lineup are PLDT’s Jules Samonte, Foton’s Shaya Adorador and collegiate standouts AC Miner and Roma Mae Doromal of Ateneo de Manila University and Lia Pelaga and Riza Nogales of University of the East.

The Filipina spikers have been pooled in Group A where they will take on Macau on June 19 and host Indonesia on the 20th.
