Bernadeth Pons returns to indoor action, signs with Creamline

After years competing in the sand, Bernadeth Pons has decided it's time to make a comeback to the taraflex.

Pons, a former FEU standout and who has played in beach volleyball for the past four years, will suit up for multi-titled Creamline as she makes her much-awaited return to indoor action.

Cool Smashers head coach Sherwin Meneses confirmed the development to GMA Integrated News on Friday, saying Pons will be donning the Creamline colors starting with the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference next week, where they look to defend their crown.

Pons last played in an indoor game back in 2019, when she was among the stars for Petron in the Philippine Superliga. She and longtime volleyball partner Sisi Rondina turned their focus on beach volleyball, competing in various international tournaments such as the Southeast Asian Games.

Representing the Philippines in the biennial meet, Pons and Rondina were able to deliver bronze medals during the 2019 and 2021 editions in the Philippines and Vietnam, respectively.

In Creamline, Pons will join a star-studded lineup that has Alyssa Valdez, Jema Galanza, Tots Carlos, Michele Gumabao, and Ced Domingo in the rotation.
